President of GLJ Partners, Garth Erdossy is responsible for managing all aspects of the business including site selection and acquisition, securing project entitlements, project design, construction oversight and management of all related development activities. He also provides general firm oversight, directs primary resource allocation and manages project capitalization, including securing third party equity and debt capital. Garth has structured and closed over $800 million worth of projects in his career.

Prior to forming GLJ Partners, Garth teamed up with Curt Olson to form Nexus Residential Communities, Inc. NRC developed and constructed attached for-sale and for-rent product. As President and CEO, he oversaw all acquisition, development and construction of projects in Southern California.

Garth began his real estate career at Trammell Crow Residential, spending 10 years with the company, most recently as Division Partner where he was responsible for the development and construction of over 4,325 multi-family units, 1,000 hotel rooms and the acquisition and rehabilitation of over 1,300 multi-family units in the western United States. Garth started and ran two of Trammell Crow Residential’s development and construction companies in the Rocky Mountain and Southern California regions. BRE, a San Francisco-based REIT, acquired the business from Garth and his partners for approximately $600 million in November 1997.

Garth holds a bachelor’s degree in International Relations from the University of Virginia and a master’s degree in Finance and Real Estate from the Kenan-Flagler Business School at the University of North Carolina. He is an active member of the Urban Land Institute (Gold Council) and National Multi Housing Council.

Garth resides in Rancho Santa Fe, California, with his wife and four children.
